CPJ Interiors - Joining The Team - Job Discription
The Work :
No prizes for guessing what wall and
ceiling fixers do!
Without us the construction industry and home owners
would be looking up at rafters, wires and plumbing pipes, and have problems
effectively insulating homes against extremes of temperature.
Being a ceiling fixer involves fitting suspended ceilings, often in big modern
buildings like shops, offices and hospitals as well as homes. We install
insulation, fire-rated panels and acoustic walls, and fix plasterboard panels to
timber frames in houses and other buildings.
After the panels have been
fixed, joints and nail holes are flushed to give a smooth, even finish ready for
the painters to come in.
Most of your work would be on new or refurbished commercial developments
such as offices, shops and factories. You might also work on projects like
new hospitals, schools and indoor arenas.
On a typical job, you would follow technical drawings and written instructions
to complete the work.
